Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 16, 2026
IVDNews is published by JTM Associates, LLC (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what information we collect when you use the IVDNews website, web app and email newsletters, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
Information you or your organization give us
- Subscription details: your name, email address, company, phone number, country and preferred way to be contacted, and the subscription account and seat you belong to.
- Your preferences: the topics you follow, the companies and business terms you track, and whether you receive the daily news email.
- Things you save or send: articles you save to your library, and when you send an article to a colleague, the email addresses you enter, the subject and your message.
- Payment: if you subscribe online, payment is handled by our payment processor, Stripe. We do not receive or store your full card number.
Information collected automatically
- Sign-in: WordPress sets cookies that keep you signed in. To protect accounts, we record the IP address and time of failed sign-in attempts and may temporarily block repeated failures.
- Server logs: our web server records standard request information such as IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time.
- Email delivery: our email provider tells us whether a message was delivered, bounced or reported as spam, so we can stop sending to addresses that cannot receive mail.
- Your display setting: if you switch between light and dark mode, that choice is saved in your own browser only.
We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not use third-party analytics or tracking on the IVDNews web app.
How we use information
- To provide the service: show the news, analytics and features your subscription includes, and remember your preferences and library.
- To send the newsletters you receive, and messages about your account or subscription.
- To deliver articles you choose to send to colleagues.
- To keep the service secure, prevent misuse, and fix problems.
- To administer subscriptions and respond to your questions.
How we share information
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only:
- with service providers that run parts of the service for us: Amazon Web Services (hosting and email delivery) and Stripe (payment processing). They may use the information only to provide their services to us;
- with the administrator of your organization’s subscription, who can see who holds the seats on that subscription and which topics they receive;
- when required by law, or to protect the rights, property or safety of IVDNews, our users or others.
When you send an article to a colleague, they receive an email from IVDNews showing your name, your message and a link to the article. Anyone who has that link can open that one article.
How long we keep information
We keep subscription and preference information while your subscription is active and afterwards for as long as needed for business records, to resolve disputes, or as required by law. You can ask us to delete your information at any time (see below).
Your choices and rights
- Update your details and preferences under My Profile and Custom Preferences in the web app.
- Stop emails: every newsletter has an unsubscribe link, and you can turn the daily email off under My Profile.
- Access, correction or deletion: email us at editor@ivdnews.com and we will respond. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law; we will honor requests as required.
Security
The site is served over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. Passwords are stored only in hashed form, sign-in attempts are limited, and you can sign out of the web app at any time. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.
Children
IVDNews is a professional service for adults and is not directed to children under 16.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the new version here and update the date at the top.
